Hi This weekend was just okay. I didn't do much. I read ahead some more in my textbooks. *Yawn* I went to the gym, met a really nice guy, who's name is Eric. (I'm currently evaluating dating potential) *Just kidding* I don't think I would have time to date once the quarter starts. On another subject, I think the university is being invaded?by coffee shops. A new "Star-bucks" just opened right next to the campus and there is already a coffee/tea house nestled between the library and engineering building. I guess, they figure students need a place to recover from all the stress and burn out from studying. Anyway, I decided to take a brake and headed over to the student union or as some call it "THE PIT." There's a really great arcade right under the building. So I played around in there for a while. After a few hours I came home, had something to eat and went back to the books. (Yay) Well, I have nothing more to say, so I'll leave with a quote from my wrestling coach. (Go Coach!) "When in doubt, choke him out" :P | | Wednesday, December 26th, 2001 | | 2:51 pm |
Hurrah, the quarter is finally over!!! As look back on these past ten weeks, I find that I've learned so much, I get dizzy just thinking about it. The cramming, the stress, those endless nights and the feeling that I've forgtten something (IMPORTANT)?its all past me now. I have a whole month of winter break to my self, in which I can ponder the meaning of life or what ever comes my way. Good things have happened to me over this first quarter of my college life. I've made some new and somewhat peculiar friends. But, I won't go into it. I don't want to bore you. :) I'm just glad its all over, now I can begin anew this next quarter. *YAY* | | Thursday, August 23rd, 2001 | | 8:18 am |
Hi My day was Okay, I guess. Well when I woke up today, my back was really sore. I probably slept in a weird position or something. Anyway, I went for a quick jog around the block and then went to the gym. I came home relaxed. Had lunch, which was spinach tortellini. It was okay. I signed on to AOL, and met this really great bodybuilder guy. Unfortunately he lives on the other side of the continent. So I could never actually met him. Then I signed off and went to Costco (a Whole-sale warehouse) with my mom, she bought a ton of stuff as usual. I just looked around played with the new computers and quickly glanced at the book section. Then I came home and started writing this e-mail. That?s about all that happened today. ?The strongest oak tree of the forest is not the one that is protected for the storm and hidden form the sun. It?s the one that stands in the open where it is compelled to struggle for its existence against the winds and rains and the scorching sun.? | | Wednesday, August 22nd, 2001 | | 10:24 am |
Well, today was just Okay, I guess. I woke up at around 6:45am. Did the regular daily hygiene. Picked up Alan and Brandon. Loaded up the surfboards and headed over to the beach. I was amazed that there was hardly any traffic today. Its really usually backed up, which is usual for California. Anyway, when we got to the beach, there was a lot of construction going on. I think there building new public restrooms and showers. We parked unloaded the surfboards, put on our wet suits and headed over to the water. When I got into the water. I felt this heavy object brush up against me. I looked down and saw a dead seal, the body was ripped open so you could see the intestines and bones. At this point my stomach regurgitated its last meal. Of course I was able to swallow it again. But I still felt faint. Anyway, I just tried to ignore it for the rest of the day. I caught a few waves, talked to this really cute guy who was sitting in the water next to me and then after about two hours, called everybody out of the water and started packing up. We loaded up the boards, and went to Jack-in-the-box for something to eat. After a while, we drove onto the freeway and headed home. I dropped Alan off at his house and Brandon came over to mine. As I was unloading the surfboards one of the boards slipped off the top of the car, and hit Brandon who was standing next to the side of the car. He kind of fell over and started rubbing the back of his neck. I ran over to him helped him up and said ?I?m sorry man, I should have been more careful. Are you all-right? Then I gently slugged him in the shoulder. I think he was still a little mad at me (we had a little disagreement yesterday) or it could be that he was just stunned from the board hitting him, because he didn?t say anything. After a while he plainly said, ?Yeah, I?m fine.? And he then stormed into the house and just slumped on to the couch. I came in after I finished unloading the surfboards and sat next to him. We had a little man-to-discussion. It turns out that he?s having a little trouble, with his girl friend. (Brandon is as Str8 as an Arrow) I tried to give him a little advice, but I know absolutely nothing about the opposite sex. So in the end I couldn?t really help him. Anyway after about an hour he went home. And I was left alone. Typing this e-mail. That?s about all that happened today. I really hope things work out for Brandon. | | Monday, August 20th, 2001 | | 11:57 am |
Hiya I went to the gym again today. Something really embarrassing happened. I was working on my calves, using a seated calf machine. I was trying raise my maximum by at least 10lbs. So I loaded up the machine and added ten more pounds for a total of 195lbs. I did about 50 reps. I must have been really fatigued after the 50 because my calves were really burning so tried to raise the bar up to lock in place but I couldn?t do it. I tried again but I just couldn?t. There was this guy next to me who was doing some squats. He noticed that I was having some trouble and came over to me. He said, ?do you need some help,? I didn?t really want his help because I didn?t want to admit defeat. Well, after a small eternity, I said rather quietly ?Okay.? So he helped me lift the bar into its locked position. He then said not in these exact words ?When ever you need help just ask, its not the manliest thing to do, but at least you?ll get out of some tight spots.? Well, I guess its not as embarrassing as I first thought. I keep thinking if I were only a little stronger I could have done it with out anyone?s help. But I guess its not good to dwell on the past. Anyway, I finished up my workout, did some cardio, and headed home. It took a little longer than usual to get home because traffic was bad, when I passed the accident, I was kind of surprised that it was only a stalled car on the side of the road and every one was slowing down to look for some reason. Anyway, I got home, relaxed signed on to AOL (to check my mail), signed off and went out again with my mom. We went over to this wholesale place called Costco. We had lunch there and I looked around a bit. I didn?t get anything but my mom bought a ton of stuff. (Mostly groceries) We came home again, I relaxed a bit more and started writing this E-mail. And I Quote: ?We find that no matter?how near we are or far?no matter where we are?we are always connected in every sense of the word.? Here is a neat story I found, enjoy: Heaven and Hell the Real Difference A man spoke with the Lord about heaven and hell. The lord said to the man, ?Come, I will show you hell.? They entered a room where a group of people sat around a huge pot of stew. Everyone was famished, desperate and starving. Each held a spoon that reached the pot, but each spoon had a handle so much longer than their own arm that it could not be used to get the stew into their own mouths. The suffering was terrible. ?Come, now I will show you heaven,? the Lord said after a while. They entered another room, identical to the first-the pot of stew, the group of people, the same long-handled spoons. But there everyone was happy and well nourished. ?I don?t understand,? said the man. ?Why are they happy here when they were miserable in the other room and everything was the same?? The Lord smiled. ?Ah, it is simple,? he said. ?Here they have learned to feed each other.? | | 2:57 am |
Hi I didn?t do much today. I woke up 8:00am, did some daily hygiene, and started watching cartoons. At about 11:00am, I headed over to the gym. I did the usual routine and then headed home. For lunch I had a dry chicken breast with some Lemon sauce. I guess it was Okay. At about 1:00, Brandon came over and him, my brother and I, drove over to the mall. We didn?t do much there. We played in the arcade for a while. Looked around. Met some friends. And then went home. Once we got home, Richard my brother, started playing ?Breath of Fire.? And me and Brandon have been trying to help him a little. But I think we just making it more difficult for him. Anyway, I took a small break to write this e-mail. That?s about all that?s happened today. ?These are the times we are, these are the days we make.? | | Sunday, August 19th, 2001 | | 8:46 am |
Hi again I went to the beach again, I?m trying to make a habit of it. Woke up at around 6:45am, went over to McDonalds, had breakfast, and speed down the highway, over to Bosa Chica (the name of the Beach). My brothers friend Alan came along (he?s kind of cute, but still has a boyishness about him). So we unloaded the boards and trotted down the sand to the water. The waves were small, but surf-able. After about two hours we packed up the boards and headed over to a near by Jack-in-the-box. We ate came home and relaxed. Alan brought over this old play-station game called Armored Core. So we played it for a while. I liked it. Especially the head-to-head fighting part. You get to be giant mechanized robots with awesome fire power. Sort of like Gundam. Anyway after this all of us headed over to the mall. We looked around some had an orange Julius. I checked out some guys (Alan and Richard my brother are both str8 and are pretty cool about me being gay, they don?t treat me any different), in tight denims. After about an hour we came home, my brother went over to Alan?s house and signed on to AOL. I met this guy whose screen name is Tozarktraveler. He?s str8, but we?ve become real close friends. And also he?s trying to set me streight, for some reason, saying the ?Wal-mart isn?t the only saving place.? Anyway that?s about it for today. The quote for today is: ?I have never had a dream come true, till the day I met you.? I?d like to share a story, if that?s ok One night a group of nomads were preparing to retire for the evening when suddenly they were surrounded by a great light. They knew they were in the presence of a celestial being. With great anticipation they awaited a heavenly message of great importance that they knew must be especially for them. Finally, the voice spoke. ?Gather as many pebbles as you can. Put them in your saddle bags. Travel a day?s journey and tomorrow night will find you glad and it will find you sad.? After having departed, the nomads shared their disappointment and anger with each other. They had expected the revelation of a great universal truth that would enable them to create wealth, health and purpose for the world. But instead they were given a menial task that made no sense to them at all. However, the memory of the brilliance of their visitor caused each one to pick up a few pebbles and deposit them in their saddle bags while voicing their displeasure. They traveled a day?s journey and that night while making camp they reached into their saddle bags and discovered every pebble they had gathered had become a diamond they were glad they had diamonds. They were sad they had not gathered more pebbles. Bye, see you around ^ _^ | | Saturday, August 18th, 2001 | | 8:26 pm |
Hi there Went to the beach today. (it was just my mom, my brother and myself + a friend) Woke up at about 6:00am, loaded up the surfboards picked up my friend Brandon and headed over to McDonalds for a quick bite to eat. Then we got on the highway and zoomed on over to the beach. (its only about an hours drive) The parking lot was pretty empty because the usual tourists don?t usually show up at 7:00am. We unloaded the surfboards, trotted down the sandy beach and plunged into the frigid water. Of course we wore or wet suits to keep us warm. There were some guys and some surfer chicks in the water but I didn?t pay much attention to the chicks that is. Some of the guys were pretty built. Anyway, I caught a few waves and nearly ran into another guy trying to catch the same wave. Luckily I managed to avoid a collision. *sigh of relief* That damn bastard. I should have taught him a lesson. At about 10:00am we started packing up and headed home. Once we got home my brother went over to his friends house. And me and Brandon, started playing STAR CRAFT (I just started playing it) on the two computers in my house that my dad networked together. He won of course (just because he has more experience). He used the ZERG (the scum of the universe) to win. Personally, I like the Protoss. Just because they seem to be the most technologically advanced, I guess. After this I really wanted to get my revenge. So I decided have a little test of strength. (Brandon is about the same height and weight as me about 5?10? 165lbs.) So we went over to the spare bed room in my house where I?ve set up a miniature gym, its just a bench some dumbbells and a barbell and some extra weights. I said to him ?whoever can bench the most with the most reps will be the real winner for today.? It wasn?t exactly those words, but who cares. So, I decided to let him go first, because I felt I could top what ever he dished out, I guess. He started out at about 150lbs, and did about five reps. *wimp* Once he cleared the way for me I toped his 5 and did about 10. I then increased the weight to 165lbs. He did 4 and a half before I had to help him. I easily toped his 4 and a half added one more for a total of five. I then added to the 165 for a total of 175lbs. (this is the highest I can go). Brandon did one and I did one. (we were both a little tired at this point), anyway overall I won. After our little secession Brandon went home and I started working on this E-mail. That?s about all that happened today. The quote for today is: ?A seabird calls. The unknowing?one stands at the rail. Peace. The circle closed. The last word written.?
